IMPORTANT COVID-19 INFORMATION

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING MEASURES DURING COVID-19
PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY BEFORE BOOKING!!

Please read all of the following information carefully:

Your safety is and has always been our primary concern, due to the current risk and restrictions imposed by Covid-19 we have adjusted our operations to adhere to all current guidelines. The following sections will explain what you need to know before booking a trip, before you arrive for your trip and what to expect during your trip.
BEFORE BOOKING:
  • We use double kayaks during our trips and only people from the same household will be permitted to paddle together in the same boat, please consider this before booking.
  • Bookings are all done online; please click the orange 'book now' button. If there is no availability online please contact us via email at info@emeraldoutdoors.ie and we will add you to a waiting list.
  • We will not be accepting bookings for individuals, our minimum group size per booking is 2 people (who must live in the same household).
  • Please be aware that if you are required to self-isolate or quarantine after arriving from abroad (when your trip is due to take place) then you will not be able to participate.
  • Please answer all questions sent to you after booking, this helps us to ensure that things move smoothly when you arrive for your trip.
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE:
  • If you have booked with us and you feel unwell, have felt unwell in the last 14 days, or if you have been in contact with someone who is unwell then please contact us to reschedule your trip.
  • Kayaking has been classed as a low risk sport during the COVID-19 pandemic by Sporting Ireland, however you are welcome to wear PPE if you bring your own equipment.
  • All kayaks, paddles and gear are washed and disinfected before each trip.
  • After booking you will receive a question pack- please advise us of your height and normal clothing size so that we can prepare your kayaks and equipment in advance.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE:
  • From the moment that you arrive we ask that you keep at least 2 meters away from your guide and anyone else who you do not live with.
  • You will be met by your guide, they will instruct you how to stay safe and about our Covid-19 procedures, please try to stay at least 2 metres away from your guide.
  • If your guide needs to approach you for any reason then they will put on a mask.
  • There will be hand sanitiser for you to use, please use it before and after the trip.
  • During the trip we will keep 2 meters distance from each other at all times (the length of your paddle).
  • At the end of the trip you will place all of your gear into a bag and all of your paddles separately on the ground for disinfecting.
